Wooden Boards

Made from American ash or NZ blackwood timber, these solid wooden boards have been lovingly crafted in our Greymouth factory and finished with natural tung oil to enhance their beauty and durability.

Each piece of timber is unique and will have differences in colour tone and pattern. This is the beauty of solid wood.

CARE INSTRUCTIONS
Washing
• Wash your serving board by hand with warm, soapy water.
• Rinse thoroughly and dry immediately with a clean cloth.
• Never soak your board in water or put it in the dishwasher, as this can cause warping or cracking.

Oiling
To maintain the board’s rich appearance and protect it from moisture:
• Reapply natural tung oil (or other food-safe oil) every 2-3 months, or as needed when the board begins to look dry.
• Ensure the board is clean and completely dry before oiling.
• Apply a small amount of oil to a soft cloth or paper towel and rub it evenly into the surface, following the grain of the wood.
• Allow the oil to absorb for 15-30 minutes, then wipe off any excess. 
• Let the board dry for 24 hours before use.

General Care
• Avoid prolonged exposure to direct sunlight or extreme temperatures.
• Store in a cool, dry place to prevent warping.
• Use both sides to ensure even wear and prolong its life.
