Who will deliver my furniture?
Our South Island deliveries are handled by Southway Transport, while Alpine Carriers manages our North Island freight. Most orders are transported by these trusted providers, however if you’re located on the West Coast, you might even meet our in-house delivery team.
How long will the delivery of my new furniture take and what will it cost?
Delivery typically takes 3 to 10 working days, depending on the destination. For remote areas such as Northland or Waiheke Island, a third-party carrier may be used, which could result in slight delays. Please note that delivery times are subject to change and are additional to the manufacturing lead time.

How will my new furniture be delivered? (what to expect)
We take great care to ensure your furniture arrives in excellent condition. All furniture has top protection applied at Coastwood, to keep your furniture safe and secure throughout its shipping journey. We try to keep the wrapping limited so that the freight company can see what they’re dealing with. Once the furniture is picked up, all products will be blanket wrapped in heavy duty furniture blankets for added protection. These blankets are removed in the truck before the furniture is unloaded at its destination. Any import product will be boxed.
The freight company will contact you before the delivery and arrange a time that suits for the product to be delivered. Delivery as standard is to the door but if you have other requirements, please discuss these with the representative who calls you. Please note that there may only be one driver per truck so if you are needing help with lifting, please also mention this to them when they call.
It is very important that the product is checked over thoroughly when it arrives, before signing that it has been received in good order and condition. If there are any signs of damage, this must be noted on the freight paperwork.
Will my furniture arrive assembled?
Most of our products are delivered fully assembled and ready for use. Exceptions include beds and some chairs and tables, which require simple self-assembly.
Assembly is straightforward and your furniture will come with instructions to help you. Some tables come with their legs separate from the table tops so these will just need to be attached. To see our full assembly guides, please open up the product page and click on the link under the product 'Features' - it will say something like this:
