Two Rivers Ohakune, a boutique B&B, identified a key issue after listening to guest feedback—international travellers with large suitcases found the rooms lacked adequate storage space. Standard bed frames didn’t provide enough clearance for luggage, and off-the-shelf solutions weren’t customisable.
Coastwood Furniture worked closely with Two Rivers to design a solution that would enhance both functionality and comfort. Using our Portland Panelled Bed as a base, we customised the design to allow 35cm of under-bed clearance, providing ample storage for large suitcases. We also supplied compact bedside tables to enhance functionality without overwhelming the space.
